Featuring music from the upcoming jazz Messiaen album. The brilliant vocalist/songwriter Becca Stevens joins the group for Thomas' arrangement of Messiaen's three-part song cycle "Trois Mélodies". Messiaen wrote the cycle for his mother, the poet Cécile Sauvage, shortly after her passing. Most of the surrealist text is Messiaen's own, but the beautiful middle movement's paints Sauvage's own poem "Le sourire" (The Smile).
